JARED ARMSTRONG
Jared Armstrong, a 28-year old professional basketball player, currently plays internationally for Hapoel Eilat in Israel. He is known as one of the most outspoken and compelling international basketball players of his time. Jared’s message emphasizes using basketball as a tool to excel in other aspects of life and foster lifelong friendships and relationships through the sport.
During the off-season, Jared resides in Philadelphia, where he leverages his platform to address racial inequality and build bridges between communities. Through his global influence, he founded JAB CAMP, a high-caliber basketball program for youth ages 6-14. The program not only focuses on basketball skills but integrates an educational and leadership curriculum, covering topics such financial literacy, nutrition, and education on combating antisemitism and racism.
Jared’s mission is to inspire the next generation of student-athletes to use sports to develop skills, self-esteem, and sportsmanship, becoming leaders who drive equality in their communities and beyond. Jared has received millions of views throughout his social media presence. JAB Camp has been featured on ABC, CBS, Fox Sports, Fox News, i24News, and other outlets. Its impact, both in the U.S. and internationally, has garnered support from prominent athletes, as well as U.S. and international government officials.
JARED’S WHY:
In 2023, Jared started JAB Camp, a Philadelphia-based basketball camp bringing together youth from all different demographics, with the aim of teaching hard work, pluralism, and unity through diversity.
